My goal is to compete in the 2010 Winter Olympic Games in Vancouver, this February.  I will spend the next several months training at the Ice House in Canada Olympic Park, in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.  To train at this level of competition, it is nearly impossible for me to cover my own expenses.  Therefore, I am forced to rely primarily upon the financial support I receive from family, friends, and contributors.

While there are several corporate sponsorship packages outlined in this brochure, I am also extremely grateful for any individual contributions, of any amount.  Whether it’s a one time gift, or an ongoing monthly contribution, your financial support is tax-deductible and all of the funds received will be applied towards my training expenses.

To anyone who makes a financial contribution on my behalf, I pledge to:
  • Use my God given talents to their fullest, pushing myself as far as I can physically and mentally in an effort to compete to win.
  • Be a role model for others.
  • Serve others in a way of ministry.
  • Be thankful to God, because without Him, I would not be in the position I am today.

Two amazing quotes I found here on the wall at the training center. I reflected on them a lot today as I trained.

"Pain is temporary. It may last a minute, or an hour, or a day, or a year, but eventually it will subside and something else will take its place. If I quit, however, it lasts forever."
— Lance Armstrong

"Adversity cause some men to break; others to break records."
— William Arthur Ward
